  1. Nine major measuring functions such as DCV/ACV, DCI/ACI, 2w/4w Resistance, Diode, Frequency, Continuity test and Temperature are provided on the GDM-8255A / 8251A.The 0.012% DC voltage accuracy provides great precision for the DC voltage applications.
  2. GWInstek GDM-8351 Digital Multimeter - Instrument Driver - National Instruments.
  3. GW INSTEK rolls out the new generation Dual Measurement Multimeter - the GDM-834x series, which has two models -GDM-8341 and GDM 8342. Its exceptional features include 50,000 counts, VFD dual-display, 0.02% basic DC voltage accuracy and a USB protocol connector to provide users with measurement precision, lucid data observation, and the.

GW Instek (www.gwinstek.com) has unveiled a dual channel oscilloscope that delivers a real-time sampling rate of up to 250 MSa/s and a maximum equivalent time sampling rate of 25 GSa/s, the GDS-1022 digital oscilloscope. Featuring a vertical resolution of eight bits, this 25 MHz oscilloscope comes with 5.6-inch color TFT LCD display and a memory length of up to 4k per channel.

The front panel of the oscilloscope features an SD storage slot, which allows users to easily access data. With just a press of a button, users can capture waveform data or image screen shots and save them into an SD card. The GDS-1022 also allows users to save the panel settings. Remotely controlling the DSO and connecting to a PC has been made easier with its rear USB port.

The oscilloscope can save up to 15 waveforms into its memory and display them at a later time. It also enables users to simultaneously compare two live waveforms and two saved reference waveforms. In addition, all voltage and signal time related measurements can be displayed simultaneously on the screen in real-time through the Measure key press.

It also features a Freewave DSO remote control and monitoring software as standard, allowing users to capture screenshots or waveform data and remotely monitor the DSO. It offers flexible saving options that enable users to capture data for later observation and analysis, with the screen images captured in jpeg or bitmap formats, waveforms as AVI movies or to CSV.

So far, only the GPD-2303S is supported and tested. Adding support for the other devices should be relatively easy for someone with hardware access, though. Patches welcome!

Hardware

There was two hardware revisions (versions) of these units released. Model numbes did not change so it is difficult todetermine whether unit is the 'old' or 'new' hardware revision. However, at least on GPD-3303S there is slight change to unit front panels;older units have slight space in output jacks between 'CH1' and 'FIXED' channel, while newer units have even spacing.

It would appear that older hardware revision units have firmware version < v2.00, but this has not been confirmed (based on anecdotal evidence only).

Protocol

These units use SCPI like command protocol. However, units do not implement all mandatory SCPI commands.

There appears to be difference in the protocol between old and new hardware revision units.Output from STATUS? command differs:
