Elo Touch USB Devices Driver Download For Windows 10

A request for the USB device descriptor failed. And again: - Along this report - the HID Touchscreen device is missing in the device manager. It seems that the system fails to properly recognize the HID Touchscreen drivers and catagorizes them as said problem. I am searching for a solution to re-recognize the HID touchscreen drivers. Like wired and wireless networking drivers, USB 3.0 drivers are a staple of any Windows 10 installation and should be present and correct when you switch to the operating system for the first time. However, upgrades to Windows 10 from Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, as well as updates to the latest version of Windows, can sometimes cause conflicts.

NOTE: Be sure to download the touch driver, as new controllers require the latest version.

Elo USB interfaced touchmonitors should respond to touch shortly after the USB connection is made (and the detection wizard has run, in some cases) even if the driver is not installed (touch response may be grossly misaligned, but there should be some sort of touch response). If no response, try the monitor on another computer system if possible. Also, connect other USB devices if possible, to verify basic system USB operation.

A common problem on many systems is that if a USB mouse has never been attached, one of the HID files (mouhid.sys) will be missing. Connecting a USB mouse should cause the file to be loaded (or you can copy the file from another computer -see below).

Using Windows Explorer, look in the windowssystem32drivers folder and make sure that the following files exist:

  • hidclass.sys
  • hidparse.sys
  • hidusb.sys
  • mouhid.sys

If any of the files are missing, copy them from another computer (be sure to put them in the windowssystem32drivers folder). Reboot, then remove and reinstall the touch drivers.
